SUMMARY:Alzheimer's Holiday Tipes Panel and Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Kearney\, Neb.   The Community Coalition to Improve Alzheimer's/Dementia Health\, in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association\, will be offering a free learning session on December 3 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Peterson Senior Activity Center. To register for the event\, please contact Dorann Bartels at dorannbartels@catholichealth.net or 308-865-2720.\n\nThe session will include a presentation on holiday tips for caregivers with community educator Dorann Bartels\, as well as a panel on the following topics:\n\n\n	Legal matters\, presented by Tom Tye\, attorney at the Tye Law Firm\, P.C.\n	Health care for caregivers\, presented by Dr. Anriban Ghosh\n	Nutrition for the aging\, presented by Kaiti George\, registered dietician at Hy-Vee\n\nIn addition\, the event will be a giving destination as part of the Kearney Area Community Foundation's Give Where You Live donation drive. The coalition will be accepting donations to support their efforts to provide resources and education on Alzheimer's and dementia. The education session was made possible by a Helping Humanity grant the coalition received from a UNK class last year.\n\nThe Community Coalition to Improve Alzheimer's/Dementia Health is powered by Buffalo County Community Partners\, a non-profit organization that seeks to assess\, strengthen\, and promote the health of Buffalo County through the promotion of the Buffalo County 2020 Vision.
