DESCRIPTION:About This Activity\nDress up like a firefighter and join us on a fun\, exciting 5K run or walk. Trail will start at the museum\, continue on the path around the lakes and then towards the Archway before heading back to the Museum. Along the trail enjoy the beautiful scenery while stopping to get your picture taken with Sparky the Dog and firefighters or try your hand at a simplified firefighters obstacle course.\n\nAfter you’re done with your beautiful walk or run\, stop and enjoy refreshments and the exhibits at the Nebraska Firefighters Museum and Education Center.\n\n\nAll proceeds will help benefit the Nebraska Firefighters Museum and their goal of educating the public about fire safety and preserving the history of firefighting in Nebraska.\n\nEvent details and schedule\nThe Event will start at the Nebraska Firefighters Museum with the first participants leaving at 9am. Enjoy the scenic course which will follow from the museum to the Archway and around the lakes. A map will be available at a closer day. Due to different types of terrain\, please wear sturdy shoes.\n\nStrollers are allowed on the course\, but please be aware of the terrain. All walkers and stroller pushers are asked to wait for a later start time and allow the runners to go first.\n\nDo to course setup and location\, please park in the Archway parking lot.\n\nPacket pickups will be from 10am-7pm April 23rd and 24th and starting at 7am on April 25th. Please bring photo ID and the waiver. Every participant must have a waiver signed\, anyone under 18 must have the waiver signed by a legal guardian.
