Hand-building Ceramics Workshop
Hand-building Ceramics Workshop with Mallory Wetherell This one-day workshop combines making three-dimensional clay forms with underglaze printing techniques. Workshop participants will learn basic methods of ceramic hand-building to create a small-scale form. The forms will then be decorated using an image transfer process. Each piece will be fired, covered with a transparent glaze, and returned to workshop participants at a later date. Please bring a selection of small images with you – all other supplies will be provided. Wetherell received her B.F.A. degree in ceramics from the University of South Carolina in 2006, and her Masters of Fine Arts in ceramics from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 2010, and is currently Assistant Professor of art at University of Nebraska at Kearney.
