Library Services Acquisitions Associate
Under the direction of the Collection Services Librarian at the Calvin T Ryan Library on the UNK Campus, this position is responsible for:
- Firm ordering of all monographs and non-book materials, and serving as primary contact for firm order questions;
- Monitoring the expenditure of library firm order funds;
- Querying, compiling, and uploading data from library systems and vendor sites for collection services reporting and analysis;
- Maintaining domain expertise of library system reporting standards and functionality as it relates to downstream analysis;
- Database maintenance projects as assigned.
- Firm ordering materials of all types for the library collection, including maintaining OCLC holdings. Tracking encumbrances and expenditures and balances for firm order funds. Serve as primary contact for library questions on firm order.
- Retrieves, manipulates, and uploads data from library and vendor systems for collection services reporting and analysis.
- Database maintenance projects as assigned, including data cleanup projects and copy cataloging.
- Processing of donated materials and withdrawn physical items, including coordinating donations.
- Responsible for end of fiscal year closing process as well as new year initializing of funds process.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Familiarity with Microsoft products like Excel, Word, and Outlook (or similar software)
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years’ experience working in procurement, accounting, or academic library setting
Demonstrated interest in data collection and analysis
Experience working with an integrated library system
Ability to learn new computer software
Ability to manage time to balance a variety of projects and daily tasks
Ability to communicate clearly in professional environment
