Construction Technician, HVAC
As part of the overall campus construction team, this position will act as the lead on construction projects that focus on HVAC related tasks. This position will provide oversight and coordination of all work activities, including but not limited to, layout/design, estimating, material ordering, work scheduling, permitting, and the installation and maintenance of HVAC components. As the lead, this position will engage with requesting departments to understand, guide, plan, and implement the desired outcome.
For non-HVAC construction projects, this position will assist other team members, acting in similar lead roles for their specific trades, as needed to perform a multitude of construction activities. These activities may include tasks related to electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and other trades connected to the construction industry.
Required Qualifications: High School education or GED 5 years - Commercial HVAC service and installation. Including considerable knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and safety practices related to the HVAC trade. Must be willing to assist other trades as needed to contribute to the overall construction team. E.P.A. Section 608 Technician Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of supervision of a HVAC crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commerical HVAC systems and components.
