UTILITIES MAINTENANCE WORKER WATER OPERATIONS

The City of Kearney Utilities Department is looking for a hard-working candidate to
join their team! Performs semi-skilled and skilled labor in the maintenance and
operation of water distribution and transmission system. Work varies with some
leeway for discretion and independent action. Completion of a high school level
education or G.E.D.; experience equivalent to one year of manual labor and heavy
equipment work. Must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license. Must currently
possess or be able to obtain a valid Nebraska CDL within 6 months of hire. A 30-
minute residency response time is required.

Hourly pay is $24.09 with a 13 Step Play Plan. 4 – 9-hour days (Monday –
Thursday); 4-hour day on Friday.
