Payroll Specialist
The City of Kearney Finance Department is looking for a highly organized, self-starter who will manage the payroll time keeping and processing systems; responsible for entering and managing employee information into the payroll system; works to ensure every employee receives their paycheck on time and that it is accurate; balancing and disbursing payroll deductions and benefits as well as preparing tax reports.
The position requires a strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Act as the liaison between the finance and the human resources departments. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with software providers and staff to ensure everyone understands vital information.
