Training and Technology Specialist, Human Resources
The Training and Technology Specialist develops, delivers, and evaluates employee training and professional development programs across a range of human resources–related topics. This position applies to strategic leadership and instructional design principles to ensure training initiatives enhance employee performance, retention, and alignment with the university's core values. Responsibilities include leveraging multiple instructional methods and technology platforms, assessing program effectiveness, and adapting offerings to meet evolving institutional needs.
The Specialist provides training, resources and presentations to on and off campus groups, manages the HR learning management system and training portal, and serves as the institutional resource for system training, usability, and troubleshooting. This role also supports HR communications by maintaining HR web content in alignment with university standards and collaborating with HR staff to develop user-focused communications. Additionally, the Specialist provides technical leadership by researching and supporting the implementation of innovative technologies that advance HR operations and support the broader Business and Finance division.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or related area
- Two years of job-related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
- Must have excellent writing/editing skills, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or related area
- The ideal candidate may have demonstrated experience with developing training/professional development programs and presenting to small and large groups.
- Knowledge of learning management systems, website design, and Microsoft Suite applications.
