News Release: 12/2/2025

My name is Ashley Rohde and I am extremely excited to be the new Executive Director for Homestead of Kearney! I have lived in central Nebraska my whole life and have worked in healthcare for the last 15 years, with a background in nursing. I have a passion for helping the older community and, after spending a few years working in organ and tissue donation, have returned to assisted living because I wanted meaningful work where I could make a difference every day. My background has taught me the importance of dignity and compassion, and now I get to bring those values to the residents I serve.

When I'm not working, I love to watch sports, travel, and try new things. I'm always up for an adventure! I have two sons, my oldest works on a ranch in central Nebraska and my youngest graduated high school in May 2025 and currently attends college. He was on the football team this fall and will participate in track and field this winter and spring.

I am so excited to join the Homestead family! I have received an incredible welcome from the staff and residents and look forward to meeting families as we move forward. If you need anything at all, please reach out!
