The American Automobile Experience Welcomes Josh Sikes as New Museum Manager
Kearney, Nebraska — January 1, 2026 – The American Automobile Experience is pleased to
announce the hiring of Josh Sikes as its new Museum Manager. Sikes brings a strong blend
of automotive industry experience, community involvement, and proven leadership to the
organization as it continues to grow its presence in Central Nebraska.
Sikes has been actively involved in the automotive world for many years, developing a deep
understanding of the industry and building strong relationships throughout the Kearney
community. His passion for automobiles and his commitment to community engagement
make him a natural fit for the museum’s mission to celebrate America’s automotive
heritage.
Prior to joining The American Automobile Experience, Sikes served with Scouting America,
where he gained extensive experience in leadership, program development, and
organizational management. His background in guiding teams, coordinating initiatives, and
fostering community partnerships will play a key role in enhancing the museum’s visitor
experience and operational excellence.
“We are thrilled to welcome Josh to our team,” said Brad Kernick, Chairman of the Board of
Directors. “His leadership, automotive knowledge, and dedication to the Kearney
community will help us create an even more engaging destination for enthusiasts and
families.”
Sikes will oversee daily museum operations, community outreach, volunteer coordination,
and the development of new programs and exhibits.
“I’m excited to join The American Automobile Experience and help share the stories,
innovation, and history that make the automotive world so special,” said Sikes. “This
museum has incredible potential, and I look forward to working with the team and the
community to take it to the next level.”
