Fleet Electronics Technician

The City of Kearney Public Works department, is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable individual to perform semi-advanced journeyman-level installation, maintenance and repair of the City’s light and heavy-duty equipment electrical components.  High school diploma/GED with prior electrical experience/training in installation, service, and maintenance of mobile technology products and emergency electronic equipment. Welding experience and knowledge of diesel and gas equipment repairs are preferred.  Valid Nebraska driver’s license required.  Must possess or obtain a Nebraska CDL and EVT Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification within 6 months of hire.  A 30-minute residency response time is required.  The City offers full benefits which includes 12 paid holidays, health/dental insurance, 6% 401A Retirement Match, and more.
 
Hourly pay range: $24.56 - $35.67 DOQ.
